The Oriental Shorthair in the colour blue must have the same slate-colour as the blue point siamese has on his points. Like the ebony, white hairs are forbidden. The colour is often masked by silver-tipping. We prefer an oriental blue with a darker colour. However, the standard demands a colour slightly lighter than the cat on the picture.
To us, the oriental shorthair blue is the most beautiful uni-coloured cat.
